USE YOUR SNAP/EBT CARD AT PARTICIPATING
FARMERS'
MARKETS ON KAUAI!

 On
September 3, 2011. The Kaua’i Independent Food Bank
(KIFB) launched the EBT Farmers’ Market Program — a new
one-year pilot program that allows SNAP recipients to
use their EBT cards at selected farmers markets across
Kauai.
SNAP recipients will be able to
purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, meat, eggs,
and other eligible food items from market vendors at the
following farmers’ markets on Kaua’i:

Koloa Sunshine Market - Mondays, 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Koloa Ball Park (Knudsen)

Kapa’a Sunshine Market – Wednesdays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Kapa’a New Town Park
•
Lihue Sunshine Market – Fridays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm Vidinha
Stadium
• Kauai Community
Market – Saturdays, 9:30am – 1:00pm Kauai Community
College
•Kukui Grove
Sunshine Market- Mondays, 3:00pm-5:00pm
•Hanapepe Sunshine
Market- Thursdays, 3:00pm-5:00pm
Look for the EBT signs at the “EBT Market
Manager Booth,” located within the selected markets. Your
EBT card will be swiped and you will be given “EBT Tokens”
that can be used at any of the participating markets.
Tokens can be spent at any of the authorized vendor stalls
clearly identified with an “EBT TOKENS ACCEPTED HERE” sign
